Boomi Standard Training Options
Our standard training covers all major areas of the product's functionality and is designed for the users who are responsible for implementing integration solutions. The course covers topics from installing and configuring the software to creating and implementing integration maps. The course also includes some Manager Training, which covers topics related to overseeing the activity of the system on a day-to-day basis.
Boomi Training Center
We hold classes at our corporate training center typically mid-month throughout the year. The course runs for 3.5-4 days based on a class size of four to six. Trainees are encouraged to bring their business challenges to discuss 'best practice' methods when using Boomi. For an overview of topics covered, please refer to the Boomi Standard Training Agenda.
Onsite Training
On-site training is a practical solution for two or more trainees from the same organization. The same material is covered in a venue of your choosing. This offering is commonly tailored to the meet training needs specific to the customer's implementation environment.
Self Paced Training
The Self-Paced training pack is the same core material supplied in the in-house and on-site training options. This training pack is best suited for customers migrating from a previous application versions and/or with strong experience in the mapping of EDI and use of Internet communication technologies.
Included with the training pack is four hours of remote training over a desktop sharing Internet session and conferencing. Commonly the four hours are split into two, two hour sessions. Boomi is flexible to the needs of the trainee and can arrange various distribution of times or additional hours if needed.
Materials
Included with all of the above mentioned training options are:
- Presentation Material - Covers a product overview, application architecture, Document Standards and Data types (industry specific).
- Training Manuals (2 documents) -
- Designer Training - Provides instruction and exercises based on an actual business scenario. Exercises follow each training objective and build on each other to a complete solution. Many customers find these exercises useful as a baseline for their company's initiatives.
- Manager Training - Instruction on system level monitoring, administration and alert mechanisms. Provides exercises on troubleshooting business processes and Integration Platform implementations. Demonstrates the use of Passive Monitoring through the use of alert notifications.
- Training Data -
- MS SQL database backup file to replicate a WMS database (used throughout exercises)
- Sample EDI, Flat File and XML data files
- Exports of the training Process Models and related components
- Connection information to the Boomi FTP server to enable the communication of data into and out of the process
Please note that if Onsite Training is chosen, customer must have a database on a database server such as MSSQL, Oracle, etc. configured and available for training exercises - OR - allow the trainer to join his/her laptop to the network in order to utilize MSSQL database for exercises.
